Coach Carmean enters his 1st season as the Head Coach of the Mustangs and his 9th season coaching overall. Coach Carmean teaches in the P.E. department at KMHS. Prior to becoming the Head Coach of the Mustangs, Coach Carmean was the Quarterback Coach for 2 years at KMHS. He was the Offensive Coordinator for 4 years at Johnson High School in Gainesville, Ga.
Coach Carmean played football at Shorter University and graduated with a B.S. in Communication and a Master’s Degree in Leadership. Coach Carmean was also a Graduate Assistant/QB Coach at Shorter University for 2 seasons.
Coach Carmean and his wife, Misti, have a daughter Rylan (2) and another daughter due in September.
Defensive Coordinator / Inside Linebackers
Coach A enters his 1st season with the Mustangs and his 10th season coaching overall. Coach A teaches in the P.E. department at KMHS. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach A was the Head Coach at Armuchee High School for 4 years. He was also the Defensive Coordinator at Washington Wilkes High School for 3 years.
Coach A played football at Shorter University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. He also earned his Master's Degree from Troy University.
Coach A and his wife, Shurook, have two boys; Emad (3) and Laith (1).
Director of Operations / Tight Ends
Coach Walker enters his 18th season with the Mustangs and his 21st season coaching overall. Coach Walker teaches in the P.E. department at KMHS. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach Walker spent 3 years at Pebblebrook High School were he was involved with both the football and baseball programs. Coach Walker also coaches the Mustang Baseball Team. In addition, he has spent time coaching the Golf Team (2008 – 2017) and Swim Team (2001 – 2005).
Coach Walker is a graduate of Shamrock High School where he played both football and baseball. He earned his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Georgia State University.
Coach Walker and his wife Amy have two children Michael and Kalyn.
Recruiting Coordinator / Running Backs
Coach Stanley enters his 4th season with the Mustangs and his 9th season coaching overall. Coach Stanley has also spent time coaching the track team (2016 – 2017).
Coach Stanley is a graduate of Kennesaw Mt. High School where he played football, basketball and ran track. He earned his B.A. and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Shorter University.
Coach Henslee enters his 4th season with the Mustangs. Coach Henslee teaches in the Social Studies department at KMHS. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach Henslee spent 2 years at Griffin Middle School. During the last 3 seasons, he has also been the Mustang's Pitching Coach for the Varsity Baseball Program.
Coach Henslee played and graduated from Hiram High School in 2006. He earned his B.S. in Middle School Education from Kennesaw State University.
Coach Henslee and his wife Anna have 1 daughter, Emma.
Coach Pena enters his 2nd season with the Mustangs. Coach Pena teaches in the Educational Support department at KMHS. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach Pena was the Assist Head Coach / Def. Coordinator / Secondary Coach at Whitefield Academy. Coach Pena has also coached at Allatoona High, North Kingston (RI) and Southern Connecticut State University. He also the Defensive Coordinator of the Boys Lacrosse program here at KMHS.
Coach Pena played football at LaSalle Academy were he earned the 1978- FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE DB) He also played defensive back at AIC (1978-1982) were he was a four year starter.
Coach Pena and his wife Charmaine have 3 children, Kevin Jr, Kiana and Kameron
Coach Nasworthy enters his 1st season with the Mustangs football team and his 4th season coaching overall. Coach Nasworthy teaches in the Special Education department at KMHS. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach Nasworthy spent 1 year at Oak Mountain Academy were he was Head Coach of their Baseball program and a basketball assistant coach. Coach Nasworthy also spent one year with Bartow County Schools where he was pitching coach for Woodland High School's Baseball team. Coach Nasworthy also serves as a coach for the Mustang's Baseball team.
Coach Nasworthy is a graduate of Model High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He then went on to Shorter University where he played baseball. He earned his B.S. in Education from the University of West Georgia.
Hamilton is entering his 11th year teaching and 13th Coaching. Hamilton's coaching career has spanned 4 states; Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Georgia. Hamilton is also involved with the Mustang Wrestling team.
Hamilton was a three year Letterman at Samford University where he played center. Hamilton graduated from Tupelo High School in Tupelo, MS, earned his business degree from Samford University, and earned his Masters in Communications from Murray State.
Coach Parker enters his 1st season with the Mustangs, which will serve as his inaugural season as a varsity football coach. Coach Parker teaches in the P.E. department at KMHS. Prior to coming to the Mountain, Coach Parker was attending the University of Alabama gearing up for this opportunity to coach young men in this great community.
Coach Parker is a graduate of Alan C. Pope High School, where he played both football and baseball. He earned his B.S. in Physical Education from The University of Alabama.
Originally from NW Indiana, Jason is a Midwest transplant to Georgia who overcame a dim future with severe health issues and a dysfunctional home life growing up. Jason ceased growing physically and mentally at the age of 12 and did not resume until age 21 when he was diagnosed with a diseased pituitary gland. Known for his tenacity, Jason persevered as an underdog and found significance "growing on the inside" as a person and focusing on helping others. Jason has a degree in Theology, is Certified in Human Behavior and is a lifelong learner of transformational leadership.
In addition to serving as KMHS Chaplain, Jason is a Character Coach for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Youth Leader at NorthStar Church in Kennesaw, and an Executive Director with The John Maxwell Team. Also, as a speaker, trainer and executive coach, Jason partners with leadership expert and best-selling author, John C. Maxwell as part of a specially trained delegation to support Maxwell's vision of adding value to people who multiply value to others -- resulting in the strengthening of leaders, organizations, communities and nations around the world. Recently, Jason traveled to Costa Rica with Maxwell to help train and transfer proven tools in an intentional effort to bring transformational values & energy to that country with the conviction that, "if one changes, the world changes".
Jason is married to his best friend, Lara and is the proud father of two difference-maker daughters, Lilianna Hope, age 12 & Farryn Joy, age 5.
